Q&A With Bullfrog Power: How Does The Canadian Electricity System Work?

Aug, 27 2020
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Canadian energy system is complex. We get a lot of questions about how it works, how it varies between provinces, and how electricity flows throughout Canada. In this webinar, we’ll do our best to answer questions we’ve seen over the years and to share important facts about the energy system.

Since Bullfrog Power launched 15 years ago, the electricity landscape has transitioned in Canada. We’re moving towards an emissions-free grid, but there is still much work to be done. Join Bullfrog’s President, Sean Drygas, as he gives an overview of the Canadian electricity system. He’ll discuss the following topics, and much more:

  • Which resources does Canada use to generate electricity, and how does that mix differ from province to province?
  • Where does Canada stack up when it comes to generating electricity from renewable sources?
  • How does electricity travel through the grid?

We want to give you the chance to ask any questions you have about electricity in Canada, so we’ll be opening up the floor to questions for the second half of the webinar. If you have any questions you’d like to send in advance, please email them to businessevents@bullfrogpower.com.

Buy in Bulk

Buying in bulk is a great way to cut carbon by reducing packaging (embodied carbon and waste) and reducing shipping emissions. Plus, one trip is better than ten.

Bonus: it will likely reduce waste as staff and management begin to keep a close eye on purchasing cycles.
